Evan Ahrendsen makes videos

My name is Evan Ahrendsen and I’m an editor and artist currently looking for work. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Radio-Television-Film. After working freelance for some time, I moved to Japan and studied Japanese. Since then I’ve worked for organizations such as Instagram and Meta. Now that I’m back in the United States, I’m ready to bring your projects to life!

I’m self-motivated, passionate, I love movies, cartoons, and animation and want to work on your projects!

For examples of my editing experience, please view below.

For the Baptist Joint Committee video I was an assistant editor and created all the graphics.

For the two Texas Law Review 2022 videos I was an assistant editor and created all the graphics.

For this project I was an assistant editor and production coordinator. I also created the graphics.

I collaborated with Big Creative Production to do narrative editing as well as motion graphics for this video for Clean Slate.

For the SXSW Iconic Moments series I was tasked with cutting down the longer panels into short highlights.

For the TAMI Presents series I was presented with the opportunity to comb through the Texas Archive of the Moving Image’s home video and commercial film archive and tasked to compile these videos which present a snapshot of the past as seen by Texans along with facts I compiled about the subject matter.

For the EditStock video below, I was tasked with taking the preexisting footage with multiple takes and editing them together in a way that best told the story.
